Moss lawns banish bald spots – MD photographer research

MD photographer moss lawn research

Solving years of MD photographer lawn care frustration,  cultivation of a moss lawn has filled in bare spots caused by shade and acid soil under pine trees. This picture was winter Maryland photography in January and the moss is still bright green. It’s been a mild winter without accumulating snow, so we’ll see how it goes, but your Baltimore photojournalist research has paid off–it’s way ahead of the bare soil of the past years. There are many posts on how to grow a moss lawn, some complicated. No buttermilk or blender required, just scrape as many types as you can find, lay it down intact without any prep and water every day.

UPDATE: February 4 after a half inch snow and it’s still green, more follows.
